2019 Fall Coach Background Check Requirements

MANDATORY BACKGROUND CHECK

As part of the volunteer registration process, coaches must apply for a background check.

New in 2019 - Coaches must take the Safe Sport Certificate training before you can apply for a Washington State Youth Soccer background check.

  • SafeSport certification will be good for a period of two years then will have to be renewed. (Subject to Change)
  • In order to proceed in the background check you MUST have a SAFESPORT CERTIFICATE (all current background checks will expire June 30th 2019)

The three 30-minute training modules including Sexual Misconduct Awareness, Mandatory Reporting and Emotional and physical misconduct can be found here at the SafeSport website.

Individuals will then be asked to create an account.

The participating organization is US Soccer.
